Maintenance Cosmos Flowers



Cosmos bipinnatus Cosmea Compositae-general definition of this annual plant is a plant is native to Central and South America, often called the Mexican star is part of a family that has about 20-30 species.  

Some other types are grown as annuals, perennials others. This plant is a large rounded bush, which tend to occupy much space, has a small elongated leaves dark green, and a large, single flowers with yellow centers and petals that are very colorful, white, yellow, pink or red.


 
 


This plant is a lot of 'used in the garden for ease of cultivation and flowering, which lasts from spring until summer mussim. The environment of these plants go round like a sunny location, but grows well in partial shade location areas, but should not be too shady because it will inhibit flower production.  

This flower is resistant to cold, grown as annual crops in areas with a mild climate during the winter. Watering of these plants need regular watering, but not too abundant. Add some fertilizer for flowering plants to water watering every 10-15 days. Propagation by seed in spring using seeds from the previous year. 




 



Can be any other way, you can sow the seeds in January and February in the nursery, seedlings should be planted with the first warm days in April-May. Pests and diseases that attack plants are aphids or insects.
