Characteristic and Description of the Tuberose flower


Known as the flower tuberose is unusual because the flower bloom and spread fragrance in the evening. In addition called Tuberose, in Malay flower is also known as the bitch tonight. This plant is known in English as tuberose. While in Latin is named Polianthes tuberosa plants.

Characteristics and Description. Tuberose flowers grow with a high of about 0.5 to 1.5 meters. A clump of stems growing from one or several bulbs parent and child a few bulbs. This is a pseudo-stem tubers as well as a store of food. Tuberose bulbs are also used for the vegetative propagation of plants. 
 
Tuberose petals (Polianthes tuberosa) long flat-shaped shiny green on the upper surface and light green on the underside of leaves. At the base of the leaf spots are reddish colored.
Leaves can be up to 60 cm long. Flower stalks appear at the end of elongated plant and jointed. In each segment appears petal-shaped flat elongated with a size smaller than normal leaves. In the flower stalk attached to 5-12 flowers (sometimes more) with a crown of white flowers and a little redness at the tip.
