The Full Posting of Richard & Catherine Openshaw's St Cuthbert's & Lytham Hall Wedding Day

Completely & Utterly Fabulous, what more can I say, this wedding was quite simply sublime!
~
I'll start at the beginning of the day, Malcolm & I delivered Catherine's bridal bouquets to her home in Lytham, it's always a nerve racking moment when I unveil the wedding bouquet, I don't know why I get butterflies but I do every time, so it's always a huge relief when our Brides are so thrilled, Catherine was no exception and her beautiful smile speaks volumes!!!!

I'd created a Bridal Bouquet of the most deliciously fragrant David Austin Patience Roses, the loveliness of these Roses is their unique ability to "Meld" together creating the most heavenly bouquet. (Just wait until you see it with the bridal gown)

Sue, Catherine's gorgeous Mum having her rather special "Carmen Rose" Corsage pinned on, I increased the blousiness of the already luscious English Garden Rose "Darcy" by adding hundreds of individually wired petals making this voluptuous eppaulette corsage, which was really perfect for the uber fabulous Sue!

Catherine's garden gate was dressed with fresh flowers and a lucky Horse Shoe
We then headed off to St Cuthbert's Church in Lytham, where Jason, Jill & Ruby had dressed the Lytch Gate with a ravishing garland of David Austin Roses, Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas and Peonies.

We found some of the Groom's Men and pinned on their Lily of the Valley & Cool Water Rose Boutonnieres

The Socks were indeed splendiforous!!!
The Corsages were all ready for their owners, Mum's & Grandma's
A lovely handbag corsage of Orchids
The Basket of Fresh Rose Petal Confetti

The super handsome Bride Groom Richard, we'd made him a Patience Rose, Sweet Pea and Lily of the Valley Boutonniere

The Bridesmaids were stunning, I'd made them Bridal Bouquets of Peonies, Roses, Sweet Peas and Lily of the Valley in "Quintessentially English" shades of Pink, Lavender, Ivory and Violet
The girls were all wearing gorgeous Roses in their hair

Our "Wedding Super Hero" Buddy Jonny Draper was the photographer on the day check out his spectacular preview of this wonderful wedding day on his Blog

The arrival of the beautiful Bride

Catherine really did take my breath away she looked exquisite

Catherine was wearing a beautiful Vera Wang Gown

Catherine's beautiful sister removed her veil, I do love veils!!!! and I do love "this moment" it's glorious!

Huge Congratulations to Catherine & Richard

We'd dressed the Church with Pedestals of Delphinium, Stocks, Peonies, Hydrangeas and Roses, the aisle was dressed with pew end posies of Stocks, Roses, Sweet Peas & Peonies.

The Patience Roses were the perfect choice for this amazing Vera Wang Gown, the texture of the skirt is so similar to the texture of the Roses that quite honestly we couldn't even consider other blooms it just had to be Patience!

The celebrations then moved to the sublime surroundings of Lytham Hall
Where Champagne & Pimms were being served by the superb Rowley's Catering Team
All of Richard & Catherine's embroidered stationary was just beautiful, the seating plan was fabulous

The wedding breakfast was served in the Gold Room at Lytham Hall
The tables were all immaculately laid

Candelabras of Pink & White Peonies, English Garden Roses, Hydrangeas, Campanulas, Stocks and Sweet Peas graced the tables

The Top Table design was in a traditional style with chapel candles in the centre and English Garden Roses, Phlox, Astrantia, Hydrangeas, Dahlias and Sweet Peas flowing over the front of the table.
The lovely Ben of Rowleys Catering, ready to greet the Bride & Groom with their glasses of chilled Champagne presented on a florally dressed tray.

This really was the best of wedding days, huge thanks to Catherine, Richard & Sue for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers, we do feel incredibly honoured to have been involved!
