Gladiolus Flower

Gladiolus is the flower-shaped ornamental herb in the form of annual crops included in the family Iridaceae. Comes from the Latin gladiolus Gladius which means small sword, like a leaf. Originally from South Africa and spread in Asia since 2000 years. In 1730 began to enter the European mainland and developed in the Netherlands.
