The process of relocation to nature orchid is a serious point which must be observed in each component factors that support the process of adaptation in the wild. Transfer of orchids from a controlled environment (farming environment) leading to an uncontrolled environment (outdoor environment) will cause side effect of internal stressing the physiological orchids. Therefore, it is important to regulate the internal factors and external of orchid plants in order to support the process of living orchids in the long term.
Treatment before or at the time of relocation is very important to improve the ability to grow and Vanda tricolor ability to survive in the wild.
* Choosing a healthy condition orchid plants, optimum leaf growth, disease-free, normal root growth, mature age and a minimum amount of clump (reserve supply of food), high yielding varieties (bright flowers, pollination percentage is high, wide adaptation).
* Selecting the macro region far from the disaster-prone regions (hot clouds, lava flow, forest fires, and landslides) and far from the habitats of wild animals like monkeys climbing the long tail.
* Selecting the macro region far from the region endemic orchid plant diseases and pests. Minimal in the area that records the intensity of the lowest disease pests.
* Choosing relocation sites in the area of micro-climatic conditions support the growth of orchids. For example waterfalls around Tlogo Muncar to a radius of 140 meters. In this area are found many of Vanda tricolor seemed more fertile with good root growth and the formation of new leaves of a healthy and normal. This area has high humidity and more stable than the area of Nature Tourism. This moisture comes from the dew and fog caused by the clash of the waterfall on the rocks below the waterfall base. This moisture will be absorbed by the roots hanging aleh owned Vanda tricolor.
* Putting Vanda tricolor on annual tree species that have patterns of bark cracking (cracks of bark.) Stems that have bark cracks will support the roots of Vanda tricolor dew to cling and hold water. In general, trees with bark cracks will be overgrown with moss and ferns are more lush. It would be better if the stem is placed exactly Vanda tricolor attached to the clump of moss and ferns, because this family can maintain a high humidity which is longer for the roots of Vanda.
* Select a block of the waterfall area from the path and quite difficult to pass (overgrown by shrubs). This is to minimize the attention of the visitors who intend to climb and take a Vanda orchid that has been relocated.
* Before taped on tree trunks, stems should be wrapped in moss Vanda tricolor. Then moss is tied tenuous with coir rope. After that, moss clumps briefly soaked in a solution of Vit B and hormones to minimize the side effect of a drastic environmental change. Also this treatment to give elements of root growth stimulants and moisture supplies were when relocated.
* Conduct routine observation and evaluation (7 HSR 15, HSR 30, HSR, 60 HSR, 180 HSR, and continued every year or so) on each orchid were relocated as a step of monitoring the development of orchids as well as efforts toward early treatment orchids which suffered damage / disturbance growth.
